Development of competition and problems of enterprise restructuring

Abstract

The article analyzes the impact of increased competition on the restructuring of industrial enterprises in Russia on the basis of data from a number of empirical surveys. It is concluded that due to the existing institutional constraints, increased competition is not accompanied by an adequate increase in the competitiveness of products and can lead to devastating consequences for a number of industries. On the example of light industry shows the negative impact of shadow turnover on the restructuring of enterprises.
